Ida is a registered architect with over 15 years of experience across Asia, the UK, and the US. She is a graduate of the University of Nottingham and Cornell University. Some of her notable projects include Perry World House for the University of Pennsylvania and the 1014 Germany Academy in New York City.

She began her career working on high-end residential homes, where she learned how to build with longevity in mind. A lot of that knowledge came from time spent on site—working side by side with builders, figuring things out as they happen. One of her early (and favorite) memories? Testing every single window on a project (and retesting them five times) before they all finally passed.

That hands-on experience continues to shape her approach: practical, detail-oriented, and grounded in how buildings actually get built.

The work produced by Ida and the team that she works with have been recognized and published by institutions such as Guardian (UK), BBC (UK), Architect’s Journal (UK), Architecture Magazine (US) and American Institute of Architects Design Awards. Academically, Ida’s research has been published in peer reviewed journals and She is also the sole author of the book “Reconsidering Authenticity: Computational Approach to the Preservation of Siheyuan in Beijing”. Ida is a frequent juror at Pratt Institute, University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University.
