This Brooklyn townhouse project is a gut renovation that reworks the interior with a new kitchen, two new bathrooms, and updated finishes throughout. The scope focuses on modernizing the home while preserving a sense of warmth, material richness, and residential character.

STRATEGY

The design strategy centers on creating a more refined and cohesive living environment through careful planning, upgraded functionality, and stronger visual connections between spaces. The kitchen is treated as a central gathering area, by making it an open continuous space, we created a stronger relationship to the backyard.

MATERIAL PALETTE

The material palette combines warm wood cabinetry, richly textured stone, dark metal fixtures, plaster-like wall finishes, and carefully detailed tilework. Integrated stone elements, including the sink and dish drying rack, give the kitchen a crafted, built-in quality, while the bathrooms use natural textures and soft contrast to create a calm, elevated atmosphere.
